Hi! We are Jamie and Ian, the team behind Alberni Adventure Gear, an outdoor gear rental business based in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. We offer camping and backpacking gear rentals, with ready to go bundles designed to make getting outside easy.

I’m a registered nurse and a life long outdoor enthusiast. I grew up tent camping all over the West Coast and later spent several years living in Tofino, where I developed a deep appreciation for island life and coastal adventures.

Those experiences inspired Alberni Adventure Gear. We started this business to remove the hassle of buying, storing, and packing gear, so more people can enjoy Vancouver Island with less stress. Whether you're hiking a peak, camping on the coast, or exploring the Island, we make it easy with curated bundles and helpful add ons.
